Dear Parish family,
Thank you for your continued generosity in the sharing of your time, talents, and treasures with our community of St. Julia. With fond memories of our Pasta Night and Beef-on-a-Bun, to the numerous ministries in our parish, St. Julia Parish is gifted with many who give of their time and share their gifts and talents in building up our community. We are truly blessed and look forward to future events and gatherings, and coming together to celebrate the source and summit of our faith, the celebration of the Mass. It is here where many of our ministries are in action and engaged in ministry. Our ministry continues when we leave the doors of St. Julia and take the gospel message into our homes, schools, places of work and community.
During this time of the COVID-19 pandemic and being physically away from our parish, we are united in prayer and virtually through the live streaming of the Mass. We continue to pray for the well being of our community, and the wellness of all in mind, body, and spirit. We also pray for the recovery of all suffering from the virus, and pray too for the souls that have journeyed from this life to the next, and all those who mourn the loss of a friend or loved one. This is what we do as disciples of Christ.
At this time, while many other aspects of life have paused, there is the reality that our fixed parish expenses continue here at St. Julia. As presented in our parish financial report in March, we thanked you, the parishioners, for your tremendous generosity. As you recall, over the past eight months, we had also cut expenses dramatically. If it can be said, we entered into this pandemic in sound financial shape. I am confident, with God’s guidance and Christ navigating us all through the power of the Holy Spirit, that we will emerge from this difficult time, ready to continue the revitalization of our parish.
I now turn to you, the faithful of St. Julia Roman Catholic Church. Thank you to the many that have given during this time of physical separation from our parish. Thank you for your commitment to parish life here at St. Julia. I now present and remind everyone of the many ways of giving and supporting our parish.
As always, I welcome your comments and feedback, and thank you for your support of me and our community.
God bless, keep safe, and I look forward to welcoming everyone home soon.
