Welcome to St. Julia Roman Catholic Church
Image Father Greg Schmidt

Welcome!

Matthew's Gospel chapter 28 verses 19-20 Jesus said to his disciples to "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,  baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.  And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age."
Therefore, my goal is to help us fully engage in the Church's mission, to make intentional disciples for Christ.

The French Catholic novelist Leon Bloy  once said "The only real sadness, the only real failure, the only great tragedy in life, is not to become a saint." This is more than simply a pious thought; it speaks of the deepest desire of our hearts for God and for human excellence. To put it differently, "the desire of our hearts" (Ps 37) is to be a saint, and to fail to obtain this blessedness is to live a life of sadness. True happiness is obtained when we become fully who God has created us to be.

I pray that St. Julia's parish is a parish that will help you in the greatest pursuit of life, that of sainthood, which is none other than to become Christ-like. Through our faithful teaching, authentic worship and compassionate service, I pray that our faith and actions will continue to nourish engaged Catholics, inspire unengaged Catholics, and invite all to encounter Christ at the Heart of his Church, so that we can all say with St. Paul "it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me."
