baptism
"Baptism is God's most beautiful and magnificent gift. It is gift, grace, anointing, enlightenment, garment of immortality, bath of rebirth, seal and most precious gift." (CCC-1216)
Baptism incorporates us into Christ and forms us into God’s people. It is the sign of Christianity and has a particular rite which is performed. Baptism is usually administered by the priest or the deacon in the parish of the child and parents. The parents, or at least one of them or the person who lawfully holds their place, give their consent. There is a well-founded hope that the child will be brought up in the Catholic Church.
Arrangements for baptism are to be made in person by the parents in a meeting with the pastor. At that time dates and times will be confirmed. Baptisms in this parish usually take place during a Sunday mass or on Sunday afternoon. A suitable preparation program will be offered for the parents and those godparents who wish to participate.
Please contact the Parish office to arrange a time for your meeting with the Pastor and to book a time and day for the Baptism.
